A good friend is a blessing, but a friend with a camera is a game-changer. Sukanya is one of those rare people whose energy makes anyone feel at home, whether they know her or not.
Being someone who shies away from the limelight and yet someone who sees the value in documenting memories, it has been rewarding for me to have Sukanya as that ‘close friend with a camera’. Whether its a regular day or a major milestone in life, the recent being my brother’s wedding, my most favorite pictures of our family (that made it into my social media platforms) were the ones etched by Sukanya. Her presence brought out the best in everyone. "A picture is worth a thousand words," they say. Well, while words can never capture its true depth, her signature style is what elevates many a moments into everlasting memories.
I’ve always had a strong affinity for her and her work because she is diligent with every endeavour, deeply empathetic, always punctual and so intentional with her deliverables. To go with all that heart, she had to be given the most radiant face, the kind of beauty when coupled with such an admirable personality, makes me eternally grateful. We, the 'M' family are so proud to see her create magic in the way she absolutely loves!

One of the best feelings in the world is to look at a photograph and wonder how it has perfectly captured that moment of your life!
This is probably the simplest way I can put into words what Sukanya did for my engagement and wedding photography.
As someone who is very nervous and uncomfortable when it comes to candid photography, I was apprehensive about my engagement and wedding photographs. But when I finally got to see them I was l awe struck by the sheer brilliance with which the photographs were clicked.
Sukanya never asked me to pose, in fact I don’t even remember seeing her around the stage area much. She has this remarkable instinct for moments, always lurking behind the camera and clicking it when you would least expect it and this is why her photography churns out such raw and original shots. I am beyond happy I could have someone like her click me on my special day. As a bride there is enough pressure on you, but Sukanya just puts you at immediate ease and there is one less thing you need to be worried about. She is also most voted likely to dance, laugh and yawn right along with you. (Who does that?)
If you want someone who is both a naturally gifted artist and a deeply grounded friend with unfailing support, look no further. She is the one you'd want by your side to make those memories last.

Sukanya went out of her way to make us comfortable during the photo shoot.
She was flexible, patient, and her perceptiveness is unmatched.
She took multiple shots and gave us some great family portraits.
I would definitely recommend her if you are looking for some mantlepiece photos of the whole family.

All Adi and I wanted was to have some memories that felt like us and not uncomfortably posed. It's pretty tough to do that in front of a camera.
But Sukanya made it very easy and comfortable, it didn't feel like somebody was setting us up to look good for a photo - it felt like someone was just taking a peek of what life already looked like.
It was a lovely experience that my husband and I will always cherish.
Would highly recommend her for photos that capture your essence and not just a templated pose.

As a fitness trainer, I am usually the one holding space and supporting others. Yet, with Sukanya, I felt a safety and ease I'd never experienced in a photoshoot, like I was catching up with an old friend. She gave me the freedom to show up without the pressure of having it all together. The "shoot" felt like a blur, it was less about looking good and more about our uplifting conversation. She really listens with so much care and attention that made vulnerability feel light-hearted, infectiously humorous and full of the gentles of smiles, and this made me open up and own my story. In all honesty, I walked in guarded and resistant to change, but left with my first full exhale in years. Our connection also brought back my restorative sleep.
Reclaiming my power felt big and unfamiliar at first, but Sukanya helped me lean into it with her soft, somatic and expressive techniques. What surprised me is the realignment that sustained. There is a whole new rhythm that follows me into my classes, how I nourish myself and others and how I rest.
Beyond this personal healing, her powerful artistry aligned me with my dream clients and opened doors I hadn't even knocked on yet. From being told overnight success compounds from consistency, to actually seeing it, I have no doubt it was this steady inner footing that changed everything for me. I live life differently now - with intention, not tension. In addition to that, there is also a newfound devotion and trust in how things unfold, which was simply made possible because Sukanya helped me taste that for myself.
I hadn’t allowed myself to be seen so clearly, partly out of vanity and a fear of my own imperfections, but I pray that everyone gets to experience her loving gaze firsthand. Anyone can snap a photo, but Sukanya truly beholds you, capturing who you deeply are and not just what you look like. Even three years later, these photographs remind me why this was the best decision I could have ever made.
She is a league of her own and I can't recommend her enough.
